It's raining... in my armpits
How to convert a reluctant

It was pouring buckets on my way to the show. On Instagram, there was a RIVER flowing down Greyfriars, less than a mile away from my venue. On top of that, it’s a Wednesday. I figured no one would come.
Alas, I had another six people in the audience!
A straight couple who stayed from Jack's show. Why leave? I pleaded. It’s raining outside!
A trans cabaret performer whom I met just minutes when they complimented my makeup.
And three women who actually came to see me.
It was fifty-fifty whether the straight couple would stay for the entirety of my show, especially as the guy looked uncomfortable. But his girl was interested in my stories. I made eye contact with him a few times.
When I got to the part of the story where my date begged if he could suck my dick a little longer, I looked at him and asked,
Has a girl ever asked you if she could suck your dick a little bit longer?
He shrugged and said, a few times.
I suspect it’s just swagger (I think the answer is more like, never.) But I said, you lucky bastard. The room laughed. And he loosened up.
Maybe it's part of my duty as a performer: to make the straight guys feel comfortable.
But what about the ones who really don't want to be there? A group of straight guys dragged there by a wayward friend?
But performing to six people on a Tsunami rainy Wednesday. I like this Free Fringe. Tonight, I feel blessed.
