I met with a potential P.R. rep today, if I come back next year.
She’s older. Very knowledgeable about Fringe. Well connected.
Towards the end of our conversation, she asked if my mom knew about Top GRRL.
I liked that about her. She’s real. When I told her that my mom and I are estranged and haven’t talked in over a year, she said, I’m sorry.
I found Mat to record my show tonight. And then I worried if anyone would show up. But three people came from my dorm, along with four couples. I had eleven people!
The guy from one of the man-woman pairs laughed boisterously throughout. I thought they were a super cool straight couple. When I chatted with them on their way out, I found out the guy was gay!
His girl!friend wanted to come see my show because she likes to peg guys.
I need to figure out my P.R. algorithm to capture this audience: the fun-giving gay guy and his BFF girl!friend who loves wearing a strap-on to fuck straight guys.
Afterwards, the folks from my dorm all went out to hot pot. And they asked about my future plans: for the show, and for me as an artist.
You have a good show, they agreed.
I was pretty happy with my performance tonight, and to have it captured on video! I was so stoked I sent a clip out to Edu, my BFF pal from last year's fringe.
He texted back, "That wig. GURL!"
Oh, Shit.
Have I done the first two thirds of the Fringe looking hideous?!?
